Plain English summary: Comment Convert is a tool for creators to read and reply to comments on their own content. We only access the data we need to provide that service, we don't sell your data, we don't post anything on your behalf without you explicitly asking us to, and you can disconnect or delete your data at any time.

1. Who we are

Comment Convert ("Comment Convert," "we," "us," or "our") is operated by BuildDaily. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have when you use our website at cc.builddaily.app and the Comment Convert application (collectively, the "Service").

2. Information we collect

2.1 Information you provide directly

Account details — when you sign up or join the waitlist, we collect your email address and any name you provide.
Content you create in the app — saved drafts, voice examples you mark as "sounds like me," tags you apply to comment threads, and notes you add to comments.
Support messages — anything you send us when you ask for help.

2.2 Information from connected platforms

When you connect a third‑party platform (such as YouTube or TikTok) to Comment Convert, we receive limited information from that platform via its official APIs. This is the data that makes the inbox work.

We do not request, collect, or store: your password, your direct messages, comments on content you do not own or are not authorized to manage, or analytics data unrelated to the comment inbox feature.

2.3 Information collected automatically

Usage data — basic information about how you use the Service (pages visited, features used, error logs).
Device data — browser type, operating system, IP address, and approximate location derived from IP.
Cookies and similar technologies — we use a minimal set of first‑party cookies to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. We do not use third‑party advertising cookies.

3. How we use information

To provide, maintain, and improve the Service — including loading your comments, scoring threads by intent, and generating draft replies.
To personalize draft suggestions to your voice using the examples you approve.
To respond to your support requests and product feedback.
To send you transactional emails (e.g. account confirmations, security alerts) and, only if you opt in, occasional product updates.
To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your account data, your comments, or your draft replies to train AI models for other customers or third parties. Your voice examples are used only to improve drafts for you.

4. Posting on your behalf

Comment Convert is built around human review, not silent automation. By default, the Service generates draft replies for you to review, edit, and decide what to do with — it does not post anything to a connected platform on your behalf. If a platform's API supports publishing replies and you choose to use that feature, your reply will only be sent after you explicitly take that action in the app.

5. How we share information

We share personal information only in these limited circumstances:

With service providers who help us operate the Service — for example, our cloud hosting provider, our database provider, our email provider, and the AI provider that generates draft replies. These providers are bound by contract to use your information only to provide services to us.
With the platform you connected — for example, when you choose to publish a reply, that reply is sent to the relevant platform.
For legal reasons — if required to comply with a valid legal request, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of users or the public.
In a business transfer — if Comment Convert is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We'll notify you in advance.

6. AI processing

To generate draft replies, the comment text and a small set of your approved voice examples are sent to a third‑party large‑language‑model provider via API. The provider processes the request to return a draft, which is then shown to you in the app. We use providers that contractually agree not to train their models on your data. The drafts themselves are stored in your account so you can revisit and refine them.

7. Data retention

Account data — kept for as long as your account is active.
Comments and drafts — kept while your account is active so the inbox remains useful. You can clear specific data from inside the app at any time.
Access tokens — kept only while you have a connection authorized; deleted immediately when you disconnect a platform or revoke our access from the platform's settings.
After account deletion — we delete or de‑identify your personal information within 30 days, except where a longer retention is required by law (e.g. tax or fraud‑prevention records).

8. Your rights and choices

You have the right to:

Access the personal information we hold about you.
Correct information that's inaccurate.
Delete your account and the personal information associated with it.
Export your data in a portable format.
Disconnect a connected platform from inside Comment Convert, or from the platform's own connected‑apps settings (e.g. TikTok's "Manage app permissions" page).
Object to or restrict certain processing, where required by applicable law.

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@commentconvert.com from the address associated with your account. We will respond within 30 days.

9. International users

Comment Convert is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States (and potentially in other countries where our service providers operate). We rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for international transfers where required by law.

10. Children

Comment Convert is not intended for and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

11. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information — including encryption in transit (HTTPS), encryption at rest for sensitive data, scoped API tokens, and restricted internal access. No system is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you by email or by a prominent notice in the Service before the changes take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when this policy was most recently revised.
